my story

I’m Sandy, and yoga has been part of my personal practice for over 15 years. I first turned to yoga after going through a period where I had trouble sleeping. Yoga gave me an experience of true calm and serenity that went beyond helping with my sleep. I felt drawn not only to the physical practice of yoga, but also to its philosophy and the power of meditation. Over the years, my practice ebbed and flowed with the various changes happening in my life, but I would always come back to yoga. Whenever I reconnected with it, whether that was through the physical practice of asana, sitting in meditation, or embodying elements of yoga philosophy, I felt grounded, connected, and at peace. Yoga has brought my mind, body, and soul immeasurable balance. For me, yoga is joy, and I am so excited to be able to share that joy with you.

my training

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in beautiful Uluwatu in Bali in January 2024. The program was a multistyle yoga training, covering a variety of styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin Yoga, and Kirtan. I’ve chosen to focus my classes on Vinyasa flow, reflecting the style I incorporate into my own personal practice. I am also a fully registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance.
